These are my photos from the MRA races and practices. I started taking pictures mainly to give myself something to do besides just sit and watch. At first I just took pictures of the people I knew. Then I started getting requests to take pictures. Got this website so I could post pictures, since there are way too many of them for me to email. I'm not an event photographer trying to make money at this, so I'm not there trying to get a few pictures of everyone racing. I take whatever pictures I feel like at whatever races I feel like watching, so there's no telling what I'll have here, or if what's here is any good. If you race for the MRA and you'd like me to take some pictures of you (or more pictures, or just better ones), just ask. Come find me at the races and tell me what your number is and what you're racing, and I'll do my best. When I get pictures, I'll post them here by race. I'm not going to come to your pit to try to sell you pictures from previous races. If you want prints, or other schwag with your picture on it, read on to see how you can make that happen.

I own this domain and pay for hosting, so you don't have to register anything to view them, or get on a mailing list, or look at any of those horrendously annoying pop-up or flyover ads. On the downside, though, it's all me, and I have a real job (that has nothing to do with photography or websites) and a family (that does have to put up with me taking pictures all the time, because they're all good lookin'!), so sometimes it takes awhile to get pictures posted and it's not the most professional looking or easy to use website. Plus you have to read through all my run on sentences to find out what you really want to know, which is, how do I get pictures??
I've been shooting and printing digital images since 1997, and have spent a lot of time and money figuring out the right color space, print media and printer technology, and all kinds of stuff that probably doesn't matter to you. That said, the pictures here on the website are sized and optimized for the web, not for print. That probably won't stop you from downloading a picture and printing it off, but just don't ever let me see it because I'll have a heart attack when I see this big old pixelated print on copier paper, especially if it's got my name on it. Soooo...if you see picture(s) here that you'd like to have, that can be arranged. If you see something you want to buy, skip the rest of this and just click here.
If you're still reading, the good news is that you can get something for nothing - if you want the digital image for your website, avatar, wallpaper, whatever, I can send you the JPEG version without the copyright notice if you promise to throw me some props on your website, or do something else to appeal to my ego. I'll send JPEGs up to 1200x800 pixels, no charge, but you have to promise that they will never appear on a myspace.com site or you'll be permanently banned from getting digital images from me.
